OSHA Safety and Health Regulations for Construction 1926 Subpart X (1926.1060) states that
“the employer shall provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as
necessary.”
Employers can instruct their staff on safe procedures to prevent falls during construction process
by using the resources available in this training program. When personnel know how to set up and
use equipment safely, falls can be avoided.
This Ladder Safety Training will facilitate all employees to distinguish hazards associated with
ladders and stairways, and train them in the procedures to be fulfilled to minimize those hazards.
It will also help them to realize the vitality of averting falls from ladders and scaffolds.
