Hazardous chemical incidents can occur at any facility, regardless of size or complexity. Even a relatively small chemical release can develop into a crisis, affecting your facility’s operation and regulation. Our environmental regulations require facilities that handle hazardous chemicals to develop and maintain emergency prevention and response plans (i.e. Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act under EPA requirements). These plans typically include procedures for preparing for and responding to environmental emergencies, training employees, maintaining records, and inspection facility operations.
