Hazardous Materials Transportation Act

In the late 1800?s the military discovered the need for a standard operational procedure for hauling hazardous materials. This need later manifested itself in the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act, (HMTA). This course provides students with a history of the HMTA and the progression of laws that bring us to the requirements of the DOT today.
