Workers who intend to supervise Hazwoper employees in general industry sector are required to
complete one-time training of 8-Hour Hazwoper Supervisor 29 CFR 1910.120 after finishing
either the OSHA 24 Hour HAZWOPER training or the initial OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER
training. The certified supervisors can also refresh their certification by taking this course.
The purpose for this course is to meet the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
training requirements defined by Federal government for Hazardous Waste Operations and
Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) practices related to general industry. HAZWOPER training
necessities for EPA and State OSHA regulations can also be achieved through this course.

The target audience for this course is supervisors, who either supervise employees engaged in
hazardous waste operations or are directly responsible themselves. All types of on-site
management can also be befitted from this course.
