OSHA 32-Hour or 4-Day 8-Hour HAZWOPER REF course delivers training on clean-up operations and remedial methods, emergency responses, and Superfund and RCRA corrective action sites.

It can be opted by workers who require the OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification, but desire getting hands-on training portion of 8 hours through either some local training provider or their employer.

Goals of the Course

The aim of this HAZWOPER training course is to prepare workers to 
comply with three categories of regulations:

training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i) defined by Federal OSHA HAZWOPER for general industry.

training requirements of 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(i) defined by Federal OSHA HAZWOPER for construction sector.

HAZWOPER training requirements for EPA and State OSHA guidelines.

Module Quiz

Throughout the course, students will take knowledge check quizzes to keep pace and get ready for the final. Students will be assisted in completing this activity via interactive media such as pictures and videos.

Examinable Features

  • This course will include nine exams, one for each of the 9 modules.
  • The exams will be comprised of questions arbitrarily assembled from a large pool of potential questions.
  • To pass each exam, a 70% or better score is required.
  • If a student fails to pass, they may retake the test three times after re-reviewing information in the modules.

Completion time

To be certified, students must finish the 4-Day 8-hour Hazwoper REF Course within six months of enrolling. A new subscription with the full course fee will be needed when this period has passed
