Recycling Plans outline

Although recycling helps the planet, it can be hazardous for those doing the labour. Worker safety risks are inherent in the processing of several recyclables, including scrap metal, electronic waste, battery acid, spent oil, and other chemicals. In addition to these dangers, there are others that apply to all forms of recycling, such as road traffic, moving parts, sudden machine starts, lifting injuries, and tripping and falling.

It is important, therefore, to provide training to the relevant workers in order to help them execute their task efficiently and safely.
