Workplace Emergencies

Organizations with more than 10 employees are required to have a written emergency action plan (EAP) in accordance with certain Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines, whereas smaller firms may convey their plans orally. An effective emergency action plan requires support from upper management and participation from every employee.

This course offers a summary of OSHA standards for

  • Emergencies contained within OSHA 1910.38;
  • Emergency Action Plans; and
  • 39, Fire Prevention Plans.

Goals of the Course

This training program will train students to establish and maintain plans of action and fire prevention to ensure protection of workers and reduce loss of property due to emergency situations.
