Weapons of Mass Destruction

Whether a discharge of hazardous substances is the result of an accident or a terrorist attack involving Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), the HAZWOPER standard specifies standards for emergency response activities. As a result, para 1910.120(q) of OSHA standard would apply to emergency responders who engage in emergency response activities in response to such releases. All pertinent parts of 29 CFR 1910.120(q) must be included in an employer-created emergency response plan (ERP), which the employer is responsible for creating.

This course is designed to provide participants with awareness-level understanding of the response to weapons of mass destruction in a terrorist incident.
