Employees, who are mandated to wear respirators, are entitled to receive training on the proper usage of the devices. Detailed and understandable training that is repeated annually or more frequently as needed is essential. OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.134 requires that each year, a qualitative or quantitative test should be performed to ensure that the respirator mask fits properly and offers an adequate seal for the workers who rely on a tight-fitting mask-to-face seal.
The goal of this course is to train students in testing and using respiratory devices to diminish respiratory health risk at workplaces, protect workers and maintain workplace safety.
