Occupational Safety and Health Standards 1920.120 require “employers shall develop and implement a written safety and health program for their employees involved in hazardous waste operations. The program shall be designed to identify, evaluate, and control safety and health hazards, and provide for emergency response for hazardous waste operations”. The written safety and health program for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZMAT) will be developed by employing companies to protect a safe environment for their workers, who are exposed to workplace hazards.
This course is crafted to assist employers in writing a site-specific training curriculum, which can be used to meet the training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e); 29 CFR 1910.120(p)(7), (p)(8)(iii); and 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6), (q)(7), and (q)(8) set forth by OSHA
training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i) defined by Federal OSHA HAZWOPER for general industry.

HAZWOPER training requirements for EPA and State OSHA guidelines.
All workers at the site who are exposed to hazardous materials, health risks, or safety risks, as well as their managers and other site staff (including but not limited to equipment operators and general laborers) will attend this training.
