Goals of the Course

Keeping things in storage shouldn’t put workers in danger. The goal of this training program is to make workers aware of the improper or unsafe storage practices and train them to recognize the ways to eliminate—or at least minimize—the occurrence chances of such accidents.

Learning Outcome:

At the completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identifying secure lifting methods when handling a thing by hand
  • Recognizing the risks involved with handling containers and drums
  • Defining the right way to handle, move, store, and use compressed gas cylinders
  • Recognizing the risks involved with handling hydrogen, oxygen, or acetylene
  • Describing the methods for finding leaks and identifying potential combustible and/or flammable items
  • Determining the elements necessary for the appropriate selection, application, and inspection of slings used to support suspended loads
  • Recognizing safe moving and handling techniques while carrying out routine maintenance.

Quiz and Exam Information

Module Quiz

Quiz will be held at the end of each module to comprehend the knowledge of students about that
module and its relevant aspects. It is mandatory to pass all quizzes to be able to take final
examination.

Examinable Features

  • Students will be allowed to appear in the final examination after they complete all modules and pass respective quizzes
  • A minimum of 70% marks are required to get accreditation.
  • If a student fails in the first attempt, two more attempts will be provided to that student.
  • There will be a break of 48 hours within each attempt, respectively

Completion time

Students are expected to complete all modules and pass final exam within 6 months of the initial registration
to receive course credits. A re-registration with complete course fee will be required after the expiration of this time period.
