General Background:

The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 clearly states a common goal of maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.  It is imperative for employers to take the safety and health of their employees seriously.  It is also of extreme importance that employees understand their role within their company’s Safety and Health program.
